Terms and Conditions
Last updated: Tuesday, 20 October 2026
These terms apply to bookings of the Danube sightseeing cruise made through budapestcruise.eu.
1. Booking request and confirmation
Submitting the booking form is a request for reservation. You will first receive an email confirming receipt of your request. The booking becomes binding only when we send you the booking confirmation by email. Our booking office processes requests daily between 10:00 and 20:00 (Budapest time).
2. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros and include VAT, the audio guide and one welcome drink per person. No prepayment is required: the total amount is paid on the day of the cruise at the ticket office of the pier, by card or in cash (EUR or HUF). Children under 10 travel free of charge. Student prices require a valid student card.
3. Arrival
Please arrive at Pier 7, Vigadó tér, at least 20 minutes before departure. Boats leave punctually; late arrival may result in the loss of the reservation.
4. Cancellation by the guest
Cancellation is free of charge. Please use the cancellation button in our emails as early as possible if you cannot attend. Because we hold seats for you without prepayment, repeated non-attendance without cancellation may lead to future booking requests being declined.
5. Changes and cancellation by us
For safety reasons, departures may be changed or cancelled due to extreme weather, high or low water levels, river traffic restrictions or official events. In this case we will inform you by email and offer an alternative departure where possible. Departure times and the exact route may vary slightly.
6. On board
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Alcoholic drinks are served only to guests aged 18 and over. Please follow the instructions of the crew at all times.
7. Liability and complaints
The cruise is operated by a licensed Danube passenger shipping company, which is responsible for the transport service.eu; we will reply within 14 days.
8. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
